15 peer educators who are members of the Health and Migration Network in Tunis, Sfax and south Tunisia, participated in a two-day training on preventing violence against migrant women and girls on 15-16 May.
On 17 May, UNFPA and the Health Work Committees (HWC) inaugurated a new women and girls safe space ‘Ishraqa’ with the financial support of the government of Canada. The new centre will serve the most vulnerable women and girls living in south Hebron (the H2 area administered by Israel) by offering them socio-psychological support, health awareness sessions, and skills-development and empowerment activities.
