Following the opening, HWC held a three-day workshop at the centre on ‘Procedures for protection, intervention, and referral of GBV survivors’ to 20 social and health workers from governmental and international organizations.
“We used to face a lot of GBV cases (especially domestic violence and rape), but we didn’t have a mechanism to deal with. You can’t imagine how beneficial this training was! It helped us learn how to deal with GBV survivors and to refer them through the other network members.” - Ola Ja’Bari, psycho social specialist at Doctors without Borders.
